PDX Wacker
I think you meant to put this link on there for the wagon. Look almost exactly the same form the pictures. But then again you can never tell a lot from the pictures. Sounds like a completely different car.

the most I have seen a wagon go for is more than 100K. It was John Lennin's. So if you want to sell your car for a lot, become famous then get killed by a deranged fan.

Wowzer
Man. 17k that is something else. That is the first black car I've seen for sale. I've been looking at picking up a 300TD that is black with black interior. It is a pretty sweet looking car. As of now it is being neglected and collecting water in the rear passenger floor pan. Its got a couple craked tail lights and the turbo is shot, and the dash is cracked, but other than that it looks alright. Hopefully in a couple weeks I'll have some time to pick it up and get to work on it. Till then it just sits. But again 17K wow. Your the winner so far. Sure has a lot of emblems on the front. I wonder what all of those are for. Mileage awards etc, yet it only has 146K hmmmmmmm. Anyone know?

To be clear, that wagon hasn't sold for $17k. The $14k one was nicer in my opinion. Heck my wagon is available to anyone for the low price of $30k, but I wouldn't count that as the highest price obtained for a wagon.
Be sure to send certified funds or bring cash. I'm not handing over the wagon for just a check with "$30,000" on it -Tad

Yes that is true. I didn't take a look at that. I guess they have a long way to go yet to get to that point. Still though anyone have any idea to what all of those emblems are for?

Sure, there are a number of other emblems. There are ones for the Stutgart plant, ones for various countries, emblems for car clubs (including MBC Canada and possibly MBCA), ones for events. We had a German Ou Pair in the 80s and she was able to come up with some interesting ones. Check www.ebay.de

This thread supports the reason I bought a very well-cared for '95 E300D with only 110k miles on it. I can drive the schnikes out of it for four or five years and take only a minor hicky.
Love the MB diesel.

Back in may or june of last year I saw the nicest wagon to date for sale on ebay. It was an 83 or 84 that was midnight blue and tan interior with 90k on the clock. The paint work was perfect, as was the interior and the engine. Everything lined up and it didn't look like it had been tampered with. I think it had service records, as well as the 3rd row and roof racks. The car was in San Mateo and I believe ended for $9,500 or so. It even had the original california blue plates. I thought the end price was high but after browsing ebay I have seen what a good deal it was. It was sold by a private party and had one of the most honest descriptions you would read on ebay. I hope whoever got it is enjoying that one.

Geeze
this guy had an SD that he was selling for 3K or something like that. Sitting in tall grass all moldy and said it didn't run. No pics of the interior. I wrote him and gave him suggestions on how he could sell it. Lower the price, clean it up, take pictures, not be so nasty (you see on this post as well....NO THE PRICE IS NOT NEGOTIABLE). His other was the same and it was on there 4+ months when I wrote him that.
Nobody wants to work with an A-hole like that. After a mean response back (mine was a nice helful e-mail) and he was just a dick. I didn't e-mail back but I say anybody should avoid this a-hole and if you feel like it send him a e-mail telling him he doesn't know how to market cars and is way over rated on what they are worth. But with the wagon I may not be to surprised if he gets a couple bites...but people like to feel like they got a bargin. It is just the culture and he needs to be part of it.
