installed the tstat which way was the flat disc facing? front or rear?

Disc toward engine... remember in my earlier post where I pinched off both rad hoses and cardboarded off the front of the engine?

no signicficant change there either.:confused:

that is the correct way.

i think there must be some fundamental reason that the action of the thermostat is not doing what it should.
