I've been averaging about 30-35K per year on my 300D (about 160K in 4.5 years). I drive it all over the country on business.

On my '79 300d I will put about 30k per year. Use it for going everywhere I need to go. Its a great car and it is being sold.

I expect to do 40,000 this year and each year - it's my commuter. My "weekend toy" is my '02 Z71 Suburban, the other "weekend toy" I want would be a small convertible...maybe someday.

I expect ~20k/yr.
I really didn't want to put that kind a mileage on my $50k+ Sierra just to get to work every day, so I bought the SD. The Dmax is now happily parked waiting to pull the trailer or the boat on the weekends.

I have a functioning odometer as of August, and by looking at the average number of miles I drive each month, I'm putting near 16,700 miles on my car per year, mainly from going to school and other errands and events through the week. I don't drive it long distances, unless 100 mile round trips to Galveston count. You can call it a pleasure car, and a daily driver because it's always a pleasure for me to drive it daily.

Based on the miles I put on my Lincoln in 2005, the Benz will be getting about 8,000 miles a year in pleasure use after the Lincoln sells (anybody wanna buy a Town Car?). I have a disposable POS for the daily commute.
By my math, the engine in the Benz should go for about another 12 years before I need a rebuild. Tranny I'm not so sure about, but I want a Euro 5 spd anyway.

some diesel, some not
I average about 25K a year on the diesel for business and dad-taxi service to soccer games and such. Coincidentally, this is about the 4th anniversary of my diesel conversion starting with my previous car. 80K on that one and 20k on this one so far.
My significant other puts about the same # of miles a year on our Murano running the kids around also + errands. We also have an E-150 based conversion van for the mega cruises, and it gets about 5-10K a year. So about 50-60K a year total for the household. Chuck |

I bought my 1980 300D brand new in Dallas TX. It’s been registered in three other states since. Now it’s back to TX to stay. Doing the math shows I run about 12k a year. Looking back though, there were years I was driving it well over 40k and some years it spend its time in the hands of my folks while I was up in Canada and Alaska flying. For three years it was started and driven about 5 miles a week just to keep things loosened up. I was 17 when I bought it (long, odd story of childhood dreams that didn’t involve Mustangs, Camaros and/or trucks). The last thing you want to hear is all that’s happened with, in and/or around this car. I’ll just say that it’s always been there for me and hardly (if ever) really let me down. It’s been there for me all these years, and so now it’s only fair that I’m there for it. Some may call it “just another car“. Just a piece of “should be replaced machinery” used to get around in. But when you’ve had the same car (yes, I’ve had others along the way) for 25 years, “sentimental reasons” hold fast. Now my 9 year old has laid claim to it as her first car. So, I guess we’ll be keeping it around for another decade or so. I’m holding fast with Skippy. Another 12 years before it’s first rebuild !! I’m go’n for it!!

Under my watch it's averaged about 10,000 mi/yr. Maybe that'll pick up when I start making bio this year.
Through it's life the car has averaged 19,000 a year.
