Pre Katrina, most if not all Wally World's stocked Mobil 1 Truck & SUV in 5w-40 weight. Now that the Mobil 1 stock is starting to appear on the shelves again, I see the "new" Truck & SUV in 5w-30 weight is now on the shelf. Does anybody know if they will also be stocking the new Turbodiesel 5w-40 weight? The store shelves are still thin with 5w-40 options and they don't seem to stock (at least in my area) Delvac 1 in 5w-40 weight.

My not paniced yet, but my stock is low and I need to replenish soon and I really like the 5 quart jugs.

Should see it some time in April, based on the press release.

well i just went to wallyworld and found the 5 Quart jugs of Mobil 1 Truck and SUV fully synthethic for only $17 each!!!!!! i payed 37.06 after tax. the only other place that had the same stuff was Autozone for $5.59 a quart.

i asked if they had any more and they checked but had none. this at least gave me enough for one oil change with some extra.

Did you get the 5W40 or 5W30? My Wal-Mart had only 5W-30 which is the NEW Truck and SUV oil but the old one was 5W40 that is used in diesels. If it was 5W40 then it was old stock leftover from before they renamed it.

ok i just want to make sure of this, but 5W30 is Truck and SUV oil, but NOT for diesels right? they had tons of 5W30, and i shoved the jugs around to find the last 5W40 jug.

5w30 is way to light for these engines. You want something with either a 40 or 50 for the last number.

You want Delvac 1 5w40, since they are playing the name game you just need to figure out what they are calling it now.


btw all your local MB dealers are also Mobil distributers. They can and do sell Delvac 1 at actually pretty good prices.
