Blower stops cold turkey
The blower motor on my 82 sd has quit working. I figured I had blown a fuse because the AC compressor wasn't working either and they're on the same fuse. The fuse was good, but I replaced it anyways, but still nothing. Any suggestions?

Drop the kick panel on the passenger side and find the plug for the blower. Apply 12V and ground to the plug and see if the blower operates. If it operates properly, then you have one of three possibilites:
1) bad blower resistors 2) bad CCU 3) Bad blower controller. It's possible to isolate the problem, but, check the blower, itself, first. If the blower is bad, you'll have to remove it to see what the problem is. |
