No, that was a shady deal if there ever was one.

He wanted $450 for it (despite the fact that the auction was no reserve and bidding supposedly started at .01). The only way you could place a bid was to get approved by him and then you found out the real price was $450. Meanwhile he's parting it out everyday. No telling what would be left by the time you picked it up.

The engine was crap anyway.

Here's a photo of the car after I installed the Euro lights:

Hehehe, I think Randy can vouch for this since he's been up here before. Whoever thought up the name for that podunk little one light town had some pretty high hopes. The only thing keeping the town alive is a gas station, lubmeryard, and post office.

What's scary is, once everything is taken care of, and I find gainful employment, I'll be heading up to YOUR neck of the woods!!! Think there will be enough room up there for a grumpy Libertarian ******* living full time in an R.V.?

Yep, to call it Paradise, would be a stretch. No slight intended to Paradise but, the Texas town with the best name in the worst location would almost have to be Eden. While Eden was actually named after founder Fred Ede, it was a common practice during the westward expansion for town founders and railroads to give townships exotic names in order to attract residents.

FWIW, here's stuff about Paradise.

Brian,
I'm planning on leaving Austin at 2:30am or so, arriving at your place around 7:00-7:30. I'll call as directed when coming through Ft Worth.

Payoff on the note is $13K. NADA shows the value to be $13,700. I'll need the payoff amount for it.

Mine is the Titanium color,

~17,500 miles

All recalls up to date, mine was NOT part of the frame recall.

I have RAM mounts on both bars, one for XM and the other for my Garmin 2610 GPS. The garmin mount stays (GPS not included), the XM does not. I also have the drivers backrest and Mick-O-Pegs model "D" retractable highway pegs. I also have a three way cigarette lighter style power adapter in the left side faring pocket.

The only thing the bike "needs" is to be polished again to get the dust off of it.

OK everyone, Randy is now on his way home. It was great getting a chance to meet and chat once again. He should be home safe and sound sometime late this afternoon. As requested, Here are a couple of pics of him taking his "new" treasure home with him.
