New t-stat, voltage regulator, and fuel lines, BUT....
This afternoon I changed the thermostat, put viton fuel lines on, and replaced the voltage regulator. Everything went pretty well. The t-stat change got a little messy, a little spilled antifreeze. It's hard to drain a little out with out making a mess.
The engine temp now runs at 90C instead of 80C (60C with the heat on). But now I have noticed a ticking/knocking sound that happens right about 1000 RPM. I checked the oil and it just barely read on the dip stick. Could the low oil cause the ticking/knocking sound. I know, I know I should have been paying attention. I obiviously have filled it now. Have I done any serious damage. I didn't notice the noise until today. The level was good before my christmas trip home. And I have only put about 200 miles on the car since I got home.
