CCU removal madness!
I'm trouble shooting my non-op blower on my 81 sd and I'm having a heck of a time trying to get to it. I see that there are two screws that are kinda hidden to get the wood panel off, but I can't access those untill I get the radio out of there and it feels like its screwed in from the side. Anyone have any clue on what needs to be done to get this out?

Nevermind, I got it out using a very sophisticated tool from the silverware drawer to bend the little tabs back.

You don't need to remove the CCU to troubleshoot the blower. Remove the passenger side kick panel and the plug to the blower is right in front of you. Apply 12V and ground and determine if the blower functions properly.
If the blower does work OK, then it's time to go further and see who the culprit is........CCU, blower resistors, or blower controller. |

well, I know that the blower works I already tested it. The controller is good too. I'm going to swap the ccu with one that I know is good to see if thats it.
