W123 headlight relay yes..no???

Can anyone tell me if my 1983 240D has a relay for the headlights? if so where is it located.....Thank you gene2

I don't think there is a relay, just a fuse for each side, not sure however.

no relay

gene the 83 240d did not have a head light relay, power feeds thru light sw to fuses then to the light fixtures.
what aint working?

Was the fuse

Thank you guys, It was the fuse... [ #13 on the 83 240D] the low bean would go out after about 30 min. .....I guess that is why I started thinging relay....Thanks again.....gene

Never hurts to spray contact cleaners, WD40 onto the fuse ends. Where the contact point. As car get older those fuse may had been with the car since day one. Quite often is pretty hard to see/visually if Kosher.

It's a good idea to change out ALL the fuses, its cheap to do. Even the "strip" fuse.
