1980 300D 4-speed Manual - Grey Market

Here is a relatively rare and interesting 1980 Mercedes 300D 4-speed manual with 120K (?) miles car. It has a color that I do not see often (or is it the camera?) - looks like orange color to me!

Note: I'm not associated with seller in any way.

Umm, no. Reverse is about 3" to the right. The rod is bent or there is a broken bolt somewhere. By the looks of the inside and rust on the car, that's most likely not the only thing the owner is incorrect about.

Edit: pictures. the seller claims it's in rev but it should still be much more to the right.

A rare, true, unmolested German import car, but looks like a rust bucket and the interior is hideous. What a shame.

i like how the one guys asks if there is any frame rust, yet in the one pic you can see the road through the floor.

i like how he claims the interior to be "above average." i have seen alot of 300D's in my 9 months of mercedes addiction, and this car has made my "worst ever" list.

it looks pretty

rusty. but the engine looks fairly dry. the shifter definately has a problem. the euros tend to rust more i think.

i havent seen headlights like that before, what market are they from, anybody know? i was thinking uk but it is a left hand drive car so that doesnt fit unless it has uk lights wrongly installed. if so they will have light patterns that are weird for the us. my dad used to have a volvo coupe with uk lights and the pattern threw too much light to the left cause it was designed to light up the left side ot the road. the right berm was not lit well so you felt a little blind on that side.

that looks like a Sunny Pinion car

hes a bit notorious here, some might call him an outright liar, however I'd just call him a used car salesman.

That shifter is messed up.

That car is about ready to be parted, no freaking way it will ever pass inspection w/out major work.

Original post should have started,

"WARNING - Graphic and Disturbing Images Contained"

Please do not view the attached content if you have ever cared about anything automotive in your life.

You could park it in your drive, place all your gold, cash and jewels in the trunk and they would be safe there. No, it would probably fall through all the rust.

I think it may have been a french car, because the french often use yellow ambers for fogs. I actually like the color, and the interior looks good as far as the seats go. I know it doesn't match the exterior, but it is unique. Too bad rust got this car and the seller is kinda clueless.

Note the engine pic

Hey that IP is a new one to me, note the location of the shut-off valve and the primer pump.....

I have a euro auto car in the shop now that has the same IP. If you notice the euro cars came with a different type a/c compressor too.

What is the internal difference in the euro IP, more fuel at the injectors?
