W201 tie rod question

Howdy,

I finished replacing my tie rods this morning and had a question. All went pretty well except that 22 yr old tie rods are in there pretty tight.

The question is: The new tie rods did not have jam nuts on the adjustable end. Are they supposed to? Am I supposed to transfer the old ones over? For those who don't know, one end of the tie rod has a pinch bolt and the other has a nut and a jam nut. The new ones have a different style nut that is longer but no jam nut. Maybe it is now a nylock?

These came directly from the MB dealership.

Thanks,

Sholin
