I've used it, but in my '88 Volvo gasser that I was converting from dino to synthetic (not an MB diesel). I was happy with the results. The car had 129k when I did the Auto RX regiment and converted to synthetic. Haven't had any problems with oil leaks, burning oil etc. That was 40k miles ago.

Hope this helps.

I have used Auto-Rx with very good results please follow the instructions. Go to the Auto.Com web page click on FAQ there are a number of Mecedes diesel testimonials for you to check out good luck.

There is no need to use such products if you are using a decent oil and changing it at reasonable intervals. As a matter of fact, Mercedes specifically prohibits the use of such additives. I've never used those types of things in mine and it's done pretty well I htink.

To me, a "scrubbing" additive really isn't good news. My grandpa used to tell of his father-in-law's car. My grandpa was a mechanic in the 50's and 60's and new cars very well. His father in law never changed the oil in his car, just kept it topped up. When he died, my grandpa did an oil change first thing.

The engine burned up within 2000 miles...................guess it needed that thick surpy oil.

I wouldn't. Why bother just change the oil when you are supposed to.

The CI rated oils we use in our cars are pretty good at cleaning engines out already.
