I believe it's found somewhere in the search function...

Seriously though, http://www.peachparts.com/shopforu...d.php?t=141392

Look at reply #5...

You need to drop the transmission pan first. Then you should be able to recognize what you see in that low quality reproduction of the photo.

EDIT: I'll repost a better quality version of Photo #1 for you when I get home.

The link doesn't work, but just copy the numbers from the end of the link and manually put them in place of the numbers in the address in your browser's address bar right now.

My understanding is that the modulator on the side of the transmission is what you adjust for 1-2 shift. The K-1 is for the 2-3 shift. The B-2 piston handles the 3-4shift. You also need to anjust the vac bleed on the side of the IP. Also check the levers of the vac valves on top of the valve cover. I just replaced the K-1 springs and checked / adjusted all other parts except the B-2 last weekend and it feels like a new transmission now.

What handles Reverse?

Mine slips a little from 3-4, and a lot going into reverse.
If I am on a flat, put it in reverse and give a little gas, it will
slip" but move a little" , then vibrate, then engage in reverse.
If I am backing up a small hill, it will only slip " no movement"
If I am backing down hill , after rolling several feet "no gas" it will
engage in reverse. What is going on in there?
Thanks Jay

The modulator on the side of the tranny controls the MODULATING pressure and essentially, shift quality.

K1 spring and clutch is NOT adjustable and the B2 piston is also NOT adjustable.

If you are having issues with shift quality then start looking at the vac system and all associated compoenents. Check for leaks or too much vac. The control valve on the IP for the transmission is very suspect when you start loosing shift quality.

The K1 spring is not a "quick fix" for overall crappy shifts into every gear...if you are having issues with flaring and whatnot, check out the simple (cheaper) stuff first before you jump in with a wallet
