injector rebuilding, tool
So, I think it's time to check my injectors. Can someone point me towards some good information on how to do this. Also, where can I get the pop tool required to check the opening, spray pattern etc.?
I've seen this on eBay. Is this the tool? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/diesel-injection-tester-injector-nozzles-Bosch-Zexel_W0QQitemZ4610089207QQcategoryZ43991QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Thanks! Randy |

diesel fuel injectors
Hi, just had yesterday my 5 injectors clean by ultra sound, tested pressure reset, paid about US$ 90 for this . Somewhere sticking and on some pressure was off. When you buy the set-up on ebay you will also need a collection of the washers which determine the release pressure. You probably can get the spray pattern checked for a couple of bucks at a MB or VW garage.

Yes, that is one way.....
If you do a search for "build injector tester" there are also a couple of home-made testers that members have made. One is made from a converted bottle jack and another uses a grease gun. All are designed the same as the one on e-bay, that you mentioned, and use the "homemade" items to apply the pressure.
Other ideas for those who like to tinker.
