CBS----Montana

I'm sure there were quite a few of you out there that just watched the CBS interview about the Fischer-Trope method of producing Diesel. I'm only a year into this Diesel Addiction so this is a new thing to me. The interveiw seemed to cover a lot of questions all that I had asked myself as it began.

Yet there only contradiction to the process was the CO2 emissions which he seemed to have a plan for by piping it back to oil companies who use it to pump oil, and an old lady who didn't want her land minded and left bare and ugly.....Again the governor showed land that was rehabilitied. Really interesting the spin that CBS put on it.

I like to belive that they did a thorough interview on Cost analysis (which I only heard what the governor had to say) but I would be happy if such a thing existed. He says around $1.00 Gallon minus Tax.

Also interested on how it burns/performs. Apprently according to a professor from Stanford the Diesel is cleaner and would run better (Interesting info on the Germans running it in their attack planes) And that the chineese are ahead of us on funding this production.

I wonder about sulfer content in the coal vs how that is represented in the new fuel. I know the new laws are stringent and Sulfer PPM is significantly lowered? Anyone out there know much about the process. I know there is a ton of High Sulfer Coal in Illinois that sits becuase of the high sulfer content. Actually in Oregon (here where I live) on the South Coast there is a extremely large amount of coal as well. (I sure hope they don't use it here....NOT MY BACKYARD mentality I have...I see where the old lady is comming from)

Seems like there was a ton of information put out there I'm sure I forgot a ton of it but I thought I woudl jsut get this thread started and you experienced Guru's could take it away for me

Ahhh and I do run WVO so I knew exactly what that old lady was going to say. And she DID. She said they should transform the land into crops to grow oil for Bio-Diesel. HAAAAAAHAAAAHAAAA... The governor hit it right on the head. I know soy is about 60 Gals and Acre....yeah that is really going to do anything...Yet the new look into Algea has me really interested.

Take it away you brilliant Diesel minds.

You need to label your 83 300TD as an 83 300TDT
