Holy crap. I almost bid on those then I realized it said $515, not $15. Man those are expensive but they look like they'd be dang handy.

It looks to me like maybe the black part slides into the same hole as the tire changing jack and the red plates would go right underneath the car. Better support maybe?

its just an adapter. You put the round part on where the jack supposedly is placed when you want to lift your car. The red part acts as a base so that you can use your hydraulic jack to lift the car. So that you wont ruin your running board or your under chassis. Not worth the more than $500++ ...IMO.

I can get OEM replicas from Lyco Engineering for around $100 a piece. The ones I have seen look like a tapered bar with a swiveling pad on the end. They work great, I'll try to snap a photo next time I'm over there.

The ebay add say they are used for a lift, which makes sence.

You know. A set could probably be made for less than $50 in material. At $515 and the reserve isn't met, the seller must be nuts. But then again, there are multiple bids on them, so maybe the buyers are nuts. Now where's that darn bridge I need to get rid of?

tools or parts

It looks like the tools to fix mercedes ,become more money than the car or parts to keep it going.

Seller states these are for a type 600 Grosser. The red paint looks out of place though. The welds look a little rough also. If they really are original they will have a MB part number on them. They might be a homebrew set someone made for a 600. IMHO.

if they

are for a grosser, that explains the high bid.

if they are i bet they have some relationship to the fact of the adjustable suspension on the 600. is that air or hydraulic? air i think. when they are old and sit for a while they sag down real low.
