124 body power seat/transmission on E320

The driver seat power adjust on my son '88 E300 blows fuses. Please walk me thru how to find the short circuit.
Also the dealer in my area told me that my '97 E320 does not need transmission fluid change. It's highly unreasonnable. I know that all moving parts need lubrication and all lubricants lose their viscosity in time. What is he talking about. Does'nt he want my business?

Not sure about the fuse but the newer Benzs have a sealed tranny that supposedly doesn't need the fluid changed. I think I read here that you can change it yourself. I'm sure someone will chime in who knows more.
