good to know.

I remember hearing my dad talking about putting isopropyl alcohol in an almost empty gas tank in order to pass emissions with a car that otherwise failed. I don't know if it worked or not. Maybe their claim of emission reduction is true.

Adding alcohols to gas or diesel is adding an oxygenate.
The extra oxygen helps keep down NOX and particulates in diesel. The industry has been doing for ages. Nothing new. Google search E-Diesel or E-85 emissions.

ISP also has a high affinity for water which will also add more O2 and help with emissions. Google search water and diesel fuel emulsions.

Alcohol is less energy dense, so the trade off is MPG.
