A total engine with all assys. has got to weigh 500-600 lbs. I have yet to find any info on this in any Benz publication. Paul.

No, that would give the vehicle weight, not the engine, or engine + trans weight
Edit on 18th Feb'06: I now read that signalredcoupe posted at about the same time as me. My comments were to dannyM, who referred to the owners manual (which only gives vehicle weight, not engine or engine + trans weight.) My apologies to anyone who thought my comments were in relation to signalredcoupe's post

Sorry, did you mean entire vehicle weight? I believe 3500 lbs. is very close.

Anyone know of a place I can find/rent an engine hoist that'll hand the engine and tranny at the same time?
