Help! New electrical gremlin
OK. So recently I had a problem with the battery light glowing and losing charge on my 240D which was solved by a new voltage regulator from Phil. That was middle of last month. So now, 700 miles later I pull into my parking space this morning and I see the battery light flashing about once every half second like a strobe. What the hell could this be? My terminals are tight and clean. All connections that I could find are secure. And since the new regulator last month there has been no sign of any electrical issue at all.

OK. Never mind. I'm a dumbass. Upon closer inspection I discovered a wire on the back of the alternator itself that goes from some black plastic thing for about an inch to a metal protrusion from which it had disconnected. Upon reconnecting it the problem is solved.
