Question How do I remove the headrest??

Related to my seat cover thread; My driver's haedrest comes right out, but the passenger one won't.

Anyone know the trick for removing headrests in W123's?

(Don't tell me there's a button...)

You should be able to push or pull it forward or back and then up. I forgot which way.

there's a button.

If you already have one out, you can see a notch on one side of the chrome shaft where it is buried in the seat. You should be able to see a little bulge poking out on the seat back below where the mb-tex folds flips over from the front side. At this point in the seat is a hidden button. Push it and have someone pull up on the headrest.

Sorry to tell you but there IS a button (at least in later models). Like rs899 said, check the back of your seat, it's hard to see, actually it's not visible as a button but there is a slight "bump" on the upper part of the backrest, that's where you press.

It would be a little more easy to slide down the back of the seat. There is one phillips screw at the lower-middle of the panel.
