Is it for the engine or the rear hatch?

What I am looking for is the rubber mounts for the shock absorbers. I thought I would try replacing those before I shelled out the bucks for new shocks. Maybe I shouldn't do it this way. It's probably time for new shocks anyway. |

Now, if you are talking about the front shocks, well, nevermind................ |

Bio...I don't know what that shock mounting kit contains. But, if you are doing the front shocks, the Blistens came with all new bolts, washers, and rubber bushings. You had better hope the kit has a special 12 point boxed wrench with a very thin head...the bottom bolts a tough/tight to get to (not real tough, just tougher than they oughta be on a normal maintance item).
By the time you get the old top rubber bushings off, it would be just as fast to mount new shocks. New shocks sure did make a BIG difference on my wagon....bite the new shock bullet and then enjoy the ride. |
I get clunking over bumps in the rear end. Accumulators?
Yeah, I will probably just replace the front shocks it's not too expensive. Mercedes Source has a set bilstiens for $120. |
