W115 220D engine into W110 -help!

I'm trying to verify that I can put a '72 220D engine in my W110 200D. I'm worried the difference in location of the 220D oil filter housing wont clear the subframe in the W110. Can anyone help? Any other advice? Has anyone here done this swap. Please help! Thanks!

If memory serves me well, the original w110 diesel engine has the oil filter in the same location and the finbody subframe is far enough forward to provide plenty of clearance for the oil filter, but you might want to check dimensions of the sump.

If the sump is deeper on the 220D engine than the original 190D or 200D engine then *that* will interfere with the subframe.
