Wheel Bearings

I purchased some front SKF wheel bearings thinking they were orginal german bearings and to my surprize they are made in Mexico does anyone no if these are quality bearings?

I have Hecho en Mexico SKF bearings, IMHO they are fine.

As do I.....

I have never encountered a wheel bearing failure due to substandard manufacturing quality. Usually it is due to improper grease loading, retainer torqued improperly or the end cap falling off.

SKF makes a lot of bearings. I wouldn't have a problem using them.

Just make sure you grease and tighten them properly, that is where people have problems.

Definately torque to the proper spec using a quality torque wrench.

End play.

There is no "torque spec.", as the measure of proper adjustment is the amount of end-play. Get a dial indicator and mag. base at Harbor Freight.
