Last couple months(when weather really cold)
300SD would not start unless charger and block heater were used. My load tester and AutoZones checker said battery and charging system were good(four year old battery).
Bought new battery a week ago - starting problems solved with no further battery charger use....

Did you use a higher CCA battery or just the same rated one?

One or more glow plugs out? Cold weather really lets you know that it won't take the stuff that warmer weather lets you get away with.

What are you running for oil? 5w40 Rotella full synthetic, huge difference in cold starts here!
