Need Help 300D won't start

My 87 300DTD has sat for 2 months without being started. It has 173k and is inside a garage with the battery disconnected. Prior to storing it ran great started on the 1st or 2nd turn everytime. I drove it everyday for about 10months before storing these last 2 months. I went to start it Sat and it just turned over but wouldn't start. I tried until the battery became too weak to start it. I charged the battery and tried again on sun and first checked the fuses (which have all been replaced within the past 10mos) ,I replaced the pre-glow unit, and check the fuel filters (which are clear and have also been replaced recently). I loosened the nut in the fuel line to the main filter and have a flow of fuel from it. It almost started once but basically just turns over. I don't know what else to do-----------I would appreciate any help
This car has sat for periods before and started right up just as my other cars do. Any ideas what could have happened while sitting
Thanks
Joel

Whenever a working diesel won't start, you have to begin with the basics.................make sure you have voltage to all glow plugs.

This is especially true with the 603. If it's been sitting awhile, without glow plugs it probably will never start.

Just for further information, crack one or two of the hard lines at the injectors and see if you get fuel when you crank it. If you have fuel at the hard lines, it has to be glow plug related.
