Compression Adapter tool- work on 617?
says it works with the 22mm injectors,
is that my 81 300D? seems like it could be a good tool to have. http://www.toolss.com/wbstore/main.asp?action=PROD&PROD=M0092&CTMP=1

I just ordered one of these from zdmak for my 602 and am waiting for it to arrive. I know from taking injectors from junkyard 617s that the diameter is the same but the thread is different. The threads on the older engines is much coarser than that on the 60x engines which have the 1.5mm thread specified in the ad. However I do believe the VW adapter will fit as seen in this listing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4618247866&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmotors.search.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D4618247866%26fvi%3D1"]http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4618247866&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmotors.search.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D4618247866%26fvi%3D1. I bought this compression tester thinking it would fit, and the adapter has the same thread as the injectors from the 617s. So for around the price of the zdmak adapter you can get a compression tester with the adapter you need. Hope this helps.
