my mom called my 300D a grandpa car.. she thinks its slow and feable.. she said why couldnt i get a normal car like other 17 year olds. shes just not getting the idea a diesel isnt fast and this car weighs more than her cross over suv with 1 less cylinder in the engine

i almost bought a crown vic which is a granpa car. the benz is hardly a grandpa car i love it .

Without the turbo it would be a standard grandpa car. With the turbo, it's the grandpa-with the Hawaian shirt-white hairy chest-and gold medallian-car. After all, who do you think you're talking to here? A bunch of Grandpas.

Caddy, Lincoln, and Buicks are old people's cars. I remember seeing somewhere that the average age of Buick buyers was in their mid 60s.

When my wife and I brought our MB home. We took the kids for a drive. As they were crawling in and getting settled, the 9 year old said...

This is one of those "old people" cars.

A one or two year old Crown Vic is one of the best car buys in the country now days. They depreciate quickly over the first couple of years but if you plan to keep a car for 10 years they are a very good investment. They can get 26 mpg and are fairly reliable.

my dad is old but i dont consider his 300D a grandpa car. I see buick's, mercury's, lincolns, caddy's as grandpa cars.

If your mom wants you to be like all the other teens now a days just slap on some 20 inch chrome wheels that will get her attention.

How about the 300SD? do you guys consider those grandpa cars? With a facelift they look pretty modern to me.

Same here. 33 with a grandpa car, except my daughter likes to twist the knife while it is in, calling it a "grandma" car. lol

Just remember, it's all made up by being in a car lot full of newer cars, and someone telling you your 27 old car is the nicest one there.

I've never thought of Mercedes as old-person cars.

My Lincoln Town car on the other hand...

I was told I drive my Benz like a grandpa, my comeback was, "It's a luxury car your supposed to drive it luxouriously." That made them quite.

If you wanted to be smart with your mom, you could've responded "Wow mom, I never knew cars were capable of reproducing, I mean, I've got a grandpa car! Where's it's grandkids, are they those E320 CDIs at the dealer?"

Today at the GTG, we got a beep from a passerby in a beautiful, black 1978-80 300SD with tinted windows and Ronal R-31s on it, I didn't get a photo of it, but it surely didn't look like a "grandpa" car to me.

I think that price is just to trick the search engine to putting their listings at the top of the search result. I'm guessing they actually want a third (or less) of that amount.
