Where the heck do I find new trim?

side door trim for a 1982 300D? Does that exist or am I gonna have to troll junkyards? Btw has anyone here just gotten rid of it and painted over it? How did it look?

Same here, I need the light grey rear passenger door trim piece and the little one behind that that fits the fender. Where could I find these?

Ask in parts with a WTB- want to buy or PM me a photo of the part(s) and I'll check the yards here in South Florida- I have as many as 50 MB's to pull parts from at times.

W126 passenger rear door trim and the little piece behind that, I need those. I'll Pay $$$$ for them! Preferably gray ones, but I'll take any color, I can just have them repainted....

Let me know, Thanks.

Either pics or part numbers.... You'd be surprised at the different types of thing I find at the yards from cars that seem otherwise identical.

ebay

I thought I saw a new complete W123 set w/ red berries on ebay not too long ago. Don't know if it was OEM or 3rd party. Just tried searching completed items...couldn't find it. Might want to look there periodically.

Yeah I lost in a bidding war a while ago for the smaller trim piece, it was beyond $20!! If I must, I'll bid ruthlessly, but I'd like to not have to pay so much for them, especially the little one!

Any W126 standard wheel base door trim will work if the car is from 1981 to 1985 and not a "SEL" or "SDL" It has to be a "300SD, 380SE, 300SE"

The smaller piece will probably work off the SDL or gasser SEL's too....not sure. I can try to get pics of the ones on our 83, I'll post those on here by wednesday.

I haven't found any new trim since I turned 40 several years back and got so tore-up!

Look, I tried not to go for the obvious joke, but just couldn't help it.....

Price them out at the dealer, sometimes they surprise you. If its $30 new why spend 6 months trolling yards for another 25 year old one?

Yup, new w123 moldings are inexpensive and readily available. w126 moldings are a lot pricier.
