Fuel Shut Off Replacement 96 E300

I need to replace the fuel shut off valve on my 96 E300 because of a faulty "Fuel Temperature sensor" that is integral to the valve. Is there anything in particular I need to be aware of?

Besides the fact that you might disrupt the other plastic lines going to and coming from the shut off valve?

I just replaced all of the clear plastic lines the other day. I just want to know if there are any springs or check balls etc that might jump out after I remove all of the retaining screws.

As far as I can see and remember when I did mine on my Turbo 606, the only thing that came out was the fuel

If you haven't bought the part yet I have a brand new one I never used that I bought when I was chasing down a fuel leak. It turned out to be the o-ring so the valve has sat in my parts box, in the bag it came in along with a new o-ring since I bought it last year. I paid over $100 plus shipping for it...if you want it for $80 shipped you can have it.

I can double check on my EPC that the same part is used in yours as was in my '98 but am almost positive it is...just let me know if you need it or anyone else wants it PM me.

Just take your time and be extra clean when doing the job. Injection pumps dont tolerate ANY foreign matter at all.
