It would be nice if Honda bought over a CDI Accord. Being able to buy a new diesel car for high 20's would be nice.
We need something other then the full size yet pricey E320CDI at $52K, and the small VW TDI's. A good mid sized car with a diesel would be nice when fuel hits $4 a gallon in a couple of years.

I second that. But it won't be happening soon unfortunately. You have MBs on the high side, VWs that are tiny as hell, we also have a Jeep for compact SUV lovers, but nothing else for all the other car categories out there.

Well it comes down to the average American hating diesel. They want a V6 Accord that is quite as an electric car, goes 0-60 in about 6 seconds ect. They are not willing to give up any of that for an extra 10mpg.
Also the whole idea of filling the thing with diesel is challanging to some...
