Are these any good or what?

I 've seen these at Harbour Freight and wonder if anyone has any feedback on this...

I wouldn't want to use anything that could possibly restrict oil flow.

And I think it would be a waste unless you suspect metal particles to be in there??

I would be more inclined to go with a magnetic drain plug.

Get one of these instead:

dannym- your link isn't working but I agree. Why not just use a magnetic drain plug...in fact I would bet the stock one is. I don't think that thing would restrict oil flow, but the filter should be catching any bits of metal in that area.

Your right use keyword "stethascope".
