I 've seen these at Harbour Freight and wonder if anyone has any feedback on this...

It sounds like it could help keep oil cleaner...

My 2c;

I wouldn't want to use anything that could possibly restrict oil flow.

And I think it would be a waste unless you suspect metal particles to be in there?? :eek:

I would be more inclined to go with a magnetic drain plug.

Get one of these instead: :)

dannym- your link isn't working but I agree. Why not just use a magnetic drain plug...in fact I would bet the stock one is. I don't think that thing would restrict oil flow, but the filter should be catching any bits of metal in that area.

Just put it there for the hell of it.....pretty useful toy.
