Resurrection or Salvage? W123
This W123 is right down the street from work, took a look at it today.
 The bug has bitten, like going to the pound and looking at the puppies that are going to be put down.Resurrection or Salvage?

Wow that'd be quite a bit of work to get back on the road I'd think. Thats a N/A 5cyl model too, very interesting....
Looks like there's a lot of rust in the usual places too....it might be better off as a parts car, especially if the motor/trans are in bad shape.

Going to bring my big socket wrench with me tomorrow and see if the motor will rotate - that probably will be my deciding factor. There has been a guy from Houston snatching up some of these girls and paying more than I would local.

Someone trashed a set of Euros. Too bad.
That car looks like it would take a LOT of work (and $$$) to even get back to running condition...not to mention any cosmetic issues. Probably parts only but who knows...$300 seems a bit steep too. I bought a running n/a '81 300D from Diesel Power at last month's fire sale in Paradise. It had a set of H4 Hella's that were worth 1/2 what I paid for the car. The inside of that one is pretty rough and there's some rust in the floor pans too but, I have a fantasy of making a grease-powered farm hauler out of it to replace TOAD.....

Carpet and seats aren't spendy around here. Maybe $100 for that, dash would need to be replaced, a cover won't help that. New glass lenses for the lamps. Plus any mechanical stuff. I could probably have it up to par with $6-800... and a week of my time.
Looks to be a TD in the background too...

Well if the body is straight, and rust free, it may be worth a resto if thats what you are looking for.
But rust or major accident damage would religate it to the crusher in my book.

problem is all the good shells are in the south....and all the good interiors and engines are in the north east.
It would be a good recipient for a rustbucket donor car.

You can find pretty good interior in the NW too since the sun doesn't beat the heck out of and cook the inside.
