since this chapter will be closed i would like to thanks everyone for the help and answers that were provided via this great forum!

I just got a 1997 c230, I have to admit that it feels rock solid and is far more confortable then my jetta but it's my wife car.
acceleration is nice for a L4 no kompressor everything else is very good condition, 190k km, first time that i go into a mercedes dealership and i have to admit that they gave me the same service as any of their customer, i was impressed.
I looked at the class B and the interior looked tight with a lot of room and the price was right they can do some competition with the upper scale japanese cars (subaru forester, anything that is that price range, even an A3)

My wife didn't want anything else then a MB and i only have to blame myself for that
it actually making me regret my jetta but I'll hunt for a 1998 300TD in the summer.
