Just an idea....

I think we need MercedesShop.com bumper stickers!

Yesterday while driving in Austin, I saw a 83ish, 300D, straight body, no smoke at the tail pipe, pretty quick off the lights, silver paint with the standard crappy clearcoat virus....looked and acted like a good running machine. It was over on Howard Lane, heading towards I35......I wondered if the driver was a regular at this site. If he had "ID", I would have made an effort to meet and greet!

It occurred to me a tastefully designed bumber sticker would be a nice way to ID members and direct interested drivers to this site. NOW, this could backfire! Like the time I told EVERYBODY about this great new Mexican joint.....now it's so busy you can't get a table!

Now, honestly, are you really going to put a bumper sticker on the back of the W123??

I wouldn't put any bumper stickers on my car unless it was anti-bush and was magnetic. Sorry

I have one!

Bill and Donnie used to give them out at MB Autowerks.

Not a bumper sticker actually but a window sticker.

Maybe something small in the rear window would be better. Like the wrench with the Mercedes sign in it.

I also would not put a bumper sticker on my car.

A little window sticker might not be that bad of an idea. A MS within a circle or something like that.

"TASTEFULLY DESIGNED" are the key words! More ID than ad kinda thing.

And, yeah, my car has a bumper sticker....an Aggie Dad proudly writing checks since 1859 thing. My daughter stuck it on there...looks like crap, maroon against blue-green....bottom line, I love my girl more than this car!

I would NEVER EVER put a sticker on a bumper or painted body. Glass is the only place I'll ever stick a sticker. At least with a little heat, they can be removed without leaving a trace.

I made the mistake of putting one on the painted part of my TD and it left a sticky dirt magnet spot there that could not be removed.

I have a biodiesel window sticker that looks good. It's subtle enough. I have friends that took many months to notice it. Something like this would look good in a window. Maybe a bit smaller though. I envision the Mercedes Shop wrench about 3" long and and 1-1/2" tall or so in the bottom right of the rear window.
This particular one sticks on the inside of the car.

I like that one. Have same one. I must admit, I'm partial to biofuel users.
i did not shop around the decal market . Needastickers prices seemed reasonable and products are nice and i love how he promotes biodiesel overtly on his frontpage .

(shew, that disclaimer felt like an advertisement agian sorry )

If anyone wants to start this please do. Don't let it go the way of the MBshop fender covers, MBshop apparel, etc..

I just got a sticker from needasticker (biodiesel with recycle symbol) and I'm trying to figure out where to put it. I thought about the rear glass of my TD like the one above, but I was concerned about putting it over the defroster lines. I figure it would be difficult to remove with out damaging the lines, but then again I guess I don't plan on removing it.

Anyways I got the green letters, which would work on my body but I guess the white ones show up better on glass - oh well.

I'm not a fan of plastering one's car with stickers but think tasteful biodiesel stickers are a good idea if you're running it. Promotes the idea, and might get someone stuck behind you in traffic to think about energy issues. Plus it shows solidarity with other do-gooders like yourself!
