Talking Just tucked right in there!

I was just looking at some photos of a 240D engine bay and was noticing how the engine just seems to fit right there nice and tight, right in between the wheel wells. Snug as a bug in a rug! Kind of an odd thing to notice I know. Stuff isn't overly packed in like all the new cars, where you can't even stick you hands in anywhere and you have to pull five things off to get to the part you want.

I hear you, man. On my grand am, it took me like two hours just to change the stupid drive belt because you pretty much have to pull the motor half out just to get to it. I've never cussed so much. With the Benz, other than rusty nuts and bolts, the work is a breeze. I think they engineered these cars with mechanics in mind.

When I was younger I would on occasion climb in and sit on the edge of the engine compartment of my 63 T-bird when working on it.
