Where Should I Buy Injectors?

I'd like to have a few extra OM 616/617 injectors around to have for spares. Good quality OEM equivalent.

What's a good source?

What should be avoided? (Indian?)

Am I better off getting them from the salvage engineer (ie junkyard flunky)?

here in my area there is a outfit that rebuilds turbos and injectors for tractor trailoer trucks... and it is common across the country.... these guys have a large staff so its a good business... they will rebuild and then calibrate them for you....

look for something called a diesel injection shop, prefereably a shop that's authorized for Bosch injection repair, they pretty much all have that credential

I'm planning to go to Cowtown tomorrow night for some green beers, maybe I'll head out early and drop some injectors off.

just for info

Hi,

are only nozzels with the # 240 available in US?
For veggie we use i.e. # 259 or 265.
Kolbenschmid is a German manufacturer for the nozzels.
Anybody in SC, Charleston area with veggie conversion need a set (just nozzles or even adjusted complete sets).

Has anyone tried nozzles made in India recently? Quality may have improved by now.

How much?

What's a reasonable price to pay for someone to rebuild one of my 617 injectors? I've seen them advertised for $35-45 advertised. Presumably cheaper if I take my own to a diesel injector repair facility?
