Most of my intown speed limits are 45mph. I don't see it hurting off a dead stop performance that much.

How fast will a stock 82 SD be going at about 3500 rpm? Thats what I usually cruise on I-91, never gotten a second look from a cop yet, knock on wood.
I figure 3k is about 70 on the SDL. So the SD should be about 75ish at those rpms? I agree with Brian at least in the hilly North East it would be kind of pointless to put a real low rear in an SDL. The 603 is so happy to rev, 3k rpm is the sweet spot and it hits at just about the perfect speed.
