If you are asking if a 123 5 cyl engine will fit the 115 chassis, well technically its not impossible. The biggest problem is the oil filter cannister on the 123 engine will hit the steering box so unless you had a filter bypass kit (rare) a 123 engine won't fit a 115 chassis.

well

the 300 was offered in the 115 chassis later. like 75 or 6.

i put one in my 74. worked fine. i had a badly blown 240 motor (long story), bought a donor car with a sound engine and tranny and scruffy interior and paint. installed rad, engine, tranny, ds, rear end and instrument cluster. (actually my indie did it).

had to fab one engine shock mount, but it worked fine. he had to mix and match on the glow plug relay and one thing on the instrument cluster.

best to start with 2 whole cars so you'll have all the parts.

Hey shadetree,

I head down that way every once in awhile to California. I also was wondering as I have a guy I know down there that suppossedly is starting a bio-d taxi fleet out of old 123 300dt's. Thought it to be kinda interesting. I don't know where he plans to run the company but he lives in Canyonville
