HD Bilstein Shocks?
I know this topic has been gone over several times but I am about to replace my shocks on an 82 300SD and wanted to get you guys feedback on rather I should go with Bilstein comfort or HD shocks. The one thing that concerns me is that I have converted my MB to run on WVO so I have a 25 gallon tank in the trunk. That would mean an additional 175lb right behind the rear seat. I am leaning toward the HD shock for this reason. Would you go with HD shocks both front and rear or go with comfort shock front and HD rear. What are your thoughts?

I went w/ HD springs in the rear and kept whatever shocks were on there as the PO replaced them a few months before I got the car. I put HD shocks in front. When I am loaded w/ 54 gallons of fuel I feel the weight but have no ill handling effects.
HD springs didn't raise the height of the car but keeps it from squatting when fully loaded without hurting the ride when unloaded.

I would install the shocks on all four wheels. This will reduce weight transfer to the front of the car under braking.
