interior looks good except

no pic of drivers seat.

what does it mean "bill of sale"? does that mean he doesnt have a title? this would be a concern to me.

also "gets up to 70" is not much of an endoursement of the engine performance.

are you planning on rebuilding it?

1.) The drivers seat is o.k. except for the usual spot where the seat back meets the bottom, but still isn't a big deal as they said it was minimal. You can kinda see it in one of the pics.

2.) In some states they don't require a title for xx years old

3.) "up to 70" doesn't trouble me much- should it? I don't drive very fast anyway

4.) Only if it needs it but am thinking it has been done once( or twice ) since I haven't come across one with this many miles yet that hasn't been. I think I can be sure at the very least that the head gasket was replaced at some point

If the price doesn't move that would be a fair price considering the car and your location. In regards to 70mph - I believe the seller is indicating it will accelerate to 70 mph without any problem, not meaning that is the end. You are going to have some rust issues - and looking at the hood would guess the hood pad is gone. Pretty Color, hope you get it!

I guess you folks up North are used to rust, I am not! What you can see looks bad and I would think what you can't see would even be worse." Rust never sleeps "....Neil Young...I think it was him.

Or am i just overly sensitive to corrorsion?? My only rust adventure / nightmare was on a '55 Chevy PU I bought in very smooth grey primer. Blow some paint, new interior, and be finished, easy restore. Then it started showing brown freckles through the primer. Sold it cheap two months later with nice smooth grey primer. Got a call couple of weeks later, "This pig has surface rust all under the primer"...."Yes Sir! That is exactly why I sold it so cheap"!!

How bad is that.....a mere 350,000 miles on ...as you called it...a rod bender.

I think he sprayed the whole car with ArmorAll ! Typical turbo burn in the hood....needs a hood mat, me thinks.

Why don't we all jack the price through the roof and pull out on the last hour ? Naaahhh, that would be too much fun.

Tiredof.....you know that it get's kinds rusty up there dontcha ?

If it falls though....the deal that is...not your feet through the floor....I have a 1983 'ish 300D I'm going to get road ready soon..........at the moment, I'm short of the reddies to go through it.

Georgia is a good example of not needing a title. Cars older than 1985 need only a bill of sale and tag receipt. Lots of the older MB's I get dont have the title, only the tag receipt. Makes it alot easier to do business.
