Hello,
I am wondering if any of you guys change the clear plastic hoses that run to the filter. I changed one of mine today because it was so dirty and I would like to see if the fuel is staying clean. How often do these need to be changed usually? When fitting them back on... is it necessary to fit it over each rib or is one or two enough... it is very difficult to pull them off and to put new ones on... I started the engine and pulled the throttle up and I didn't notice a leak. Any advice or tips you all might have withregard to this subject would be much appreciated. -SB |

Yes I think we are talking about the same thing because mine are super brown... but the connection of mine are ribbed on the end... the current ones are 'hell' to take off and the new ones are 'hell' to put on... perhaps I should get a slightly larger hose and use the gold fitting that are used for my fuel hoses that connect to the gas tank in the back.
Thank You |

I did this task some years ago on my 1977 240D. The trick to putting the new stff clear tube on the old fitting is to dip the end of the tube in very hot water. Slips on easily then.
