Subscribing to a "Thread"... closing "Signature"
I'm a newbie... and not too sure of your special language... I think I need to know how to subscribe to this "Diesel Discussion"... "Thread".
Q1-How do I do this? Q2-How do I change my "Signature" to show the extended family's M-B Diesels I find I have retired to maintain!? Sam Ross 80' 240D 80' 300D 85' 300SD |
To make a signature, click on User CP in the top left.
Then click on Edit Signature in the top left again. Add what you like. The click the save changes button on the bottom. Voila you have a signature. |

There is an entire section of the Shop Forum dedicated to answering questions like this. It is the SHOP FORUM SOFTWARE HELP forum. Many of your questions about the usage of the Shop Forum can be answered there. Q1 - Diesel Discussion is a forum not a thread. You started a thread yourself when you posted your question. There is more than one way to subscribe to a thread. You can click "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click "Subscribe to this thread". Another way is to go to the USERCP and EDIT OPTIONS to set that you are automatically subscribed to all threads that you create or post to. You can have an automatic email sent to you whenever someone posts to a thread you are subscribed to. Q2 - Your signature is also established in USERCP in the section that says EDIT SIGNATURE. Enjoy! |
And may I add that thread subscriptions are VERY useful. ANytime you come acroos a thread that interests you or has information that you think you may need subscribe to it. If you don't it will get buried quickly.
The search function is good but it's not always fun searching through pages of threads. Danny |
