No brakes
 
my car had been sitting for a few years when i got it towed the guy slamed on the brakes and they jammed. then i bled the system to free them up. then i finally got it started and i was driving around to just test drive it and it felt like the right front brake was locked so in my drive way i heard a *TING* and no more brakes. The pedal goes all the way down. And i felt the right front wheel it was *HOT* burning hot. what has happened now?

It sounds to me like your right front brake calliper was hung up, causing drag in that direction. The ping, my guess anyway, was a line or something breaking.

If you mechanically incined....good even, you can pull the piston out of that calliper and polish it, reaseal the calliper, reassemble it and it'll be pretty much good as new. But, you may be able to get a rebuilt calliper for pretty cheap. I'd go that route myself if it was under fifty bucks a piece.

It should be pretty easy to find which line broke, it'll be were the puddle of fluid is directly below. But you may, by the time you got it home, leaked most of the brake fluid out and it could be a littl more difficult to locate the leak

You may have to actually replace the bad calliper and bleed the brakes before you can find the actual line leak. This is because until you can apply pressure to the hydraulic system it has to be sealed up. But first, do like the rest of us would, climb under there, trace the lines all the way through the system see what is wet and what isn't.

Wow. If that happened to me I would start by pulling
off tires just to start looking, first at the right front.

Then a close visual of the master cylinder.

My 300D sat for 10 years in my backyard. Brakes worked when we revived it a few months ago - no problems.
I will bleed and flush the fluid here real soon, but I was amazed at having no trouble.

In your situation I do not understand the locking part.
The brake system in some ways is simple. Master cylinder provides
hydraulic pressure, if the fluid cannot release, like the main plunger
somehow staying stuck, then you get lock.
In the same way at the wheel, fluid pressure cannot release - inside the caliper, then you get lock.

My point is - you may only need to repair or replace a caliper, or
just the master cylinder.

That aging line thing I had not considered. We have been warned by other posts that our old cars need
the rubber lines replaced on the brakes.

It sounds like it's time for a brake system rebuild.

When a car sits, the brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air. The water collects at the lowest point in the system, which is the calipers. Once the calipers rust the pistons jam very easily. Which sounds like what happened to you.

I would replace the hoses while you're there.

Wonder if the ting you heard was because of the brake fluid boiling in that front caliper and something letting go as a result. Like blowing the master cylinder cap off for example. Keep an open mind when looking into this. Of course metal will make snapping sounds as it cools down as well. Inspect that front rotor when you are in there especially where it joins the hat part of the hub as casting is not too robust there. Mind the seized caliper you maybe full of air in your system to the right wheel now as a result of too much boiling action down there.

Time for a brake system rebuild, I'd get:
4 rebuilt calipers
Pads+discs
4 rubber brake lines

Then a bunch of DOT4 fluid.

Replace all calipers and discs, as you are inspect the hard lines for rust and leaks. If you find any bending up replacement sections is easy.
