Dyeing Seats From Blue to Black

Has anyone of you guys done this on MB-Tex, what were the results?

I found a blue Seat for a 300CD; mine has a huge rip, like to repair it and was wandering if I could dye it. If I go for it I will order a dye spray-can from World Upholstery.
