Customer got 30 degrees at the vent with the A/C

I had a customer come in last week for some A/C work. Well I went throught he usual routine and found his compressor was in prime shape. Installed a new drier and expansion valve, vacuumed the system down for over 1 hour. Gassed it up with the Freeze 12 and BG synthetic oil and got it to 30 degrees at the vent. Pressures on the low and high side looked really good. I told him maybe you should let me raise the temp up some to keep the evaporator from freezing.

Well to make a long story short, I raised the temp up slightly but man was that air cold.

The outside temp was about 80 degrees so at around 90 or so in the summer, with a high heat load, it should do well for him.

I hate seeing people driving around in the 123 cars sweating, they really can be fixed to get some ice cold air for the summer.

So get out there and get your car ready for the summer.

air cold, just not enough of it!

my experience has been that the blower just doesn't blow hard enough like american cars - I get cold air from the center and side vents, but too much is wasted on the windshield. My vacuum actuators are working , but I shouldn't have to "rig" the car or vents to get good cooling. My recent tint job helped the AC alot, but it still isn't as good as my chevy truck.

Your problem is not the A/c it in the vent system. You have a vacuum pod that is not moving the flappers correctly.
