Experience/guidance with car shipping

I made another ebay gamble and bought another diesel. 190D this time. I have a thing for underpowered fuel efficient vehicles (prius, 240D). This time I'm going to have to ship and was wondering if anybody has done this before and can relate any horror stories, words of wisdom or make recommendations for a particular shipper.

thanks

Kevin

I used DAS Autoshippers. I had no problems and pickup at the terminal was actually a lot easier than I expected. They were organized. Shipping was slow, but it was exactly what they told me it would be before I shipped.

I was going to ship a car from NJ to CO, and investigated just enough to find out it would cost $1000+, so I bought a $300 plane ticket and drove it home myself. Sorry, not much help.

I would think that you would want to go see the car first. Suprises are really bad if the car is junky.
