Eating, school work, and driving around sounds like the plan for me.

Like Bodhi, I have the pleasure of having to work that day. I get to drag my smiling butt into the grocery store at four thirty in the morning on very little sleep because I'm the one responsible for opening the store on Sunday's and I'm afraid I'll sleep right through my alarms so I usually don't sleep. Once I'm there I blunder through paperwork till about eight then I have to sleepily wait on customers(cashing checks, selling cigarettes, ect.) until two then I'm going home and sleeping most likely until Monday.

R-Leo - Nice old tractor ya got there. Spent some of the younger years on a 2040. Am into the even older ones now. We have a couple of ’47 Farmall Cubs that I‘ve restored. Most all the implements too. What a workhorse those little things are.
Being a chopper pilot, things got a little carried away with one of the Cubs. (Just a spoof, mind you. Good for a grin.)
Farmall is a four letter word for my mom. She puts up with my dads' ocd for his 1945 model A Farmall. He almost bought a Cub a few months ago, but my mom would have made him go sleep in the Airstream Bambi, and it's only 16' long.

Easter Weekend

I'm gonna pull my glow plugs, and apply anti seize. They are pretty new, I put them in when I updated my GPs to the pencil type (Thanx Diesel Giant) back in Dec.

However when I put them in I really didn't lube them or anything. After reading a few threads about frozen GPs, I decided this would be a good idea.

I'm also going to do some general cleaning under the hood, and in the interior.

Today: mow grass if the tractor starts. Finish cabinet in kitchen.
Tommorow: I was supposed to have four people over for Brunch. That number has escalated to 16. I hope they like spam and eggs, cause thats all I got. Its a pain to have the biggest house of all your local relatives, you always end up hosting any and all holiday festivities.

actually

i hear spam and eggs is pretty good.

and i read the other day that eisenhower once said that the jeep and spam won the war for us. (and a few other things).

after a day of staggering around mud, dodging bullets and slapping mosquitos i bet some fried spam tasted like a delicacy.

Henrietta's a German-made '78 model 2040 but, I've only had her for a bit less than a year. She came onto the farm on July 5th and less than 3 hours after showing up she puked her hydraulic pump. $4000 and 6-weeks later I got her back with a new pump, rebuilt hydraulic cylinders and a new front end. Despite the unexpected outlay of cash, I really like my 2040. With the swept-back axle and low mounted muffler she's really manuverable and can fit into some tight places; something that's necessary out at the farm when mowing under trees and clearing brush out of the bottoms.
