I'd like to cast my opinion vote for white lithium grease.

Forgive my ignorance, but I didn't think a 603 needed valve adjustment? Also, I don't think the cover is interfered with by the throttle linkage ... I know it's definately a different getup than the 617, 616, 602, etc., where the linkage crosses the cover. I could be wrong ... I've never lifted the intake mnf. or valve cover.

You're correct. They get hung up on the 617

The 603 has far fewer ball and socket joints for the linkage.......much less to get stiff over time.

Yeah, sorry, should have picked that up. I was talking about my 240D and the 300D, etc.
